A student has Fosmid 30 in the 2nd 3L Control region of D. erecta. In the sls gene with its many exons and isoforms, there are adjacent exons in the isoforms that totally overlap for all practical purposes: 37_537_2 and 36_537_2; both are -2 orientation and reasonable splice sites are found. prokaryotic annotation

I am also interested in the prokaryotic genome annotation potential. It would be terrific if we could expand into that realm. It would fit in well with Microbiology courses as well as other class projects and independent study opportunities.

I'll answer my own question (now that I found out how how this is available), since others may wonder about the same thing-- Students need to register on the Project Management Site, and then log in. Once they do so, the window for ordering new reads becomes available, along with the project/s claim...

Where do students go now to order reads? There used to be an icon under Project Management. None of the other icons seem to have links to ordering---
